Okay, ya'll can razz me about this one if you so desire. Me, of all people, has forgotten how to do something bikewise. Well, more than one something actually.
1) Lisa ordered a windshield for the baby bike today. JCW (it's cheap and really for the Rebel, so why not). If anyone has used one, is there a way to adapt the 7/8" brackets(Rebel), to the just over 1" bars(Savage). My 98 has inch and 1/64 bars, not one inch as listed.
2) I'll be on the GS this weekend. Have problem with intermittent tail/brake light functions. Will clean connectors tomorrow, as they seem to be the problem. Does anyone (particularly former GS or other 4 banger riders) have any other ideas?
3) Anyone know a quick and cheap fix for a blown out touring bike air shock? I don't have 500 bucks for a new set right now.
4) Would someone be so kind as to find me a 7" headlight bucket and mounting bracket. Not stock Savage, the plastic won't last with my tool roll, that's how I broke the original. I think the Rebel will run again very soon, and need to put its light back on it, leaving the baby Suzi w/o one.
Thanks folks. Smashed my right hand today, and typing is getting painful (I'm right handed). No real damage, just some good tendon and other deep tissue bruising.
